Bio Sketch

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University. I work on infectious disease tracking as part of the Delphi Group. My research interests also include wearable devices, genomics, and spatial statistics. Prior to joining CMU, I was a computer science postdoc with Barbara Engelhardt at Princeton and a biostatistics Ph.D. student advised by Rafael Irizarry at Harvard. In the more distant past I have also worked as a software tester and conducted tropical ecology fieldwork in Costa Rica and the Philippines.
