About

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science at Carnegie Mellon University. I work on infectious disease tracking as part of the Delphi Group. My research interests also include wearable devices, genomics, and the theory of stable and count distributions. Prior to joining CMU, I was a computer science postdoc with Barbara Engelhardt at Princeton and a biostatistics Ph.D. student advised by Rafael Irizarry at Harvard. In the more distant past I have also worked as a software tester and conducted tropical ecology fieldwork in Costa Rica and the Philippines.
